German Chocolate Fudge
The taste of German chocolate cake in a decadent fudge. Sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and pecans provide that distinctive, rich flavor in this recipe.
Ingredients
- 12oz sweetened condensed milk
- 4oz white coconut oil
- 7oz (1 bag) shredded unsweetened coconut
- 10oz (1 bag) crushed pecans
- 1 bag #2715 Sweet Selections® Chocolate Fudge Mix
- 12oz water
- 4 sticks butter (1 lb.)
Directions
- Turn on the fudge cooker.
- Add 12oz of sweetened condensed milk, 4oz white coconut oil, shredded coconut, and pecans to kettle.
- Let cook until mixture thickens, approx. 8-10 minutes.
- Pour 2/3 of the mixture into a 13x9x2 parchment-lined pan and spread evenly.
- Add 4 sticks of butter and 12oz of water to the remaining mixture in the kettle and let stir until butter is melted.
- Slowly add one 7 lb. bag of #2715 Sweet Selections® Chocolate Fudge Mix.
- If mix is too dry, add more water, an ounce at a time. Let stir until the mix is smooth and shiny, about 160˚F.
- Let it set up and cool for 8 hours or overnight.
- After fudge is cooled flip over so icing side is up.
- Slice and serve.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
