Candy Bar Fudge
Make our Candy Bar Fudge, a decadent peanut butter chocolate combination oozing with delicious caramel, with peanuts added for a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients
- 1 bag #2717 Sweet Selections® Base Fudge Mix
- 14oz water
- 4 cups peanut butter
- 2 cups peanuts
- 4 cups Midway’s Finest Caramel #4224
Directions
- Turn on the fudge cooker.
- Add 14oz of water and slowly add 4 cups of peanut butter.
- Slowly add one 7 lb. bag of #2717 Sweet Selections® Base Fudge Mix.
- Add 2 cups peanuts (chopped, or whole for more texture).
- If mix is too dry, add more water, an ounce at a time. Let stir until the peanut butter is all melted and the mix is smooth and shiny, about 160˚F.
- Pour half the batch into (2) 13x9x2 lined pans but keep pans warm to not allow fudge to set.
- Quickly steam clean the kettle.
- While kettle is steam cleaning melt 4 cups of #4224 Midway’s Finest Caramel.
- Pour 2 cups onto each pan of peanut fudge, spreading evenly.
- Once steam cleaned, add 4 sticks of butter and 12oz of water and let stir until butter is melted.
- Slowly add one 7 lb. bag of #2715 Chocolate Fudge Mix. Let stir until the mix is smooth and shiny, about 160˚F.
- Pour half the batch into (2) 13x9x2 parchment-lined pans.
- Let it set up and cool for 8 hours or overnight. Slice and serve.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
