Frosted Nuts
A classic favorite, you can make delicious frosted nuts with ease. This simple step by step recipe will show you how.
Ingredients
- #4515 Imitation Vanilla
- Water
- 2.5 lbs. Nuts (Use almonds, pecans, or roasted peanuts with the skins removed).
Directions
- Make a vanilla water solution of 3 parts water to 1 part Gold Medal Imitation Vanilla (#4515).
- Separate out 12oz. of the vanilla water solution to add into the machine with the frosted nut mix and a minimum of 4 to 6oz. for when the buzzer sounds.
- Turn on the Pralinator heat switch and add 2.5 LBS of nuts (you can use almonds, pecans, or roasted peanuts with the skins removed).
- Add the contents of a 24oz. package of #4501 Frosted Nut Mix and 12oz. of the vanilla water.
- Allow to heat and mix until the buzzer sounds.
- At the buzzer, the nuts can be finished in two ways:
- Spray on vanilla water until the buzzer stops to produce a consistent coat with a matte finish.
- Pour on 4-6 oz of vanilla water to produce a glossy, variable finish.
- Dump the frosted nuts onto a cooling tray (such as item #4140 18” x 26” aluminum pan), separate and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving or packaging.
